Description of the problem	My tesla model 3 has an issue know as phantom touch, which, based on the tesla forms is not a problem that is unique to me, but it occurs with many early production model 3s. According to the discussions in tesla forums, phantom touch is a hardware problem that is resolved by replacing the touch screen. Phantom touch has happened to me three times, the first two were when i first got in the car, and i just rebooted the system before driving. The third time it happened while my wife was driving and it created a potentially dangerous situation. The screen picks up phantom signals and starts changing things like radio volume and channels, hvac settings etc. Based on my experience, it also turns on an off wipers and headlights. It was a good thing when it happened while driving it was daylight with no rain, if it were dark or raining it could have easily caused an accident. Based on the messages on the screen it seems that the camera and other safety systems may have also been disabled by phantom touch, and one of the screens that appeared while it was going crazy was to change the speed of the vehicle while on cruise control. I gave tesla the date and time of the last problem, noting that it occurred on june 16 at 11 am plus or minus 10 minutes. I was surprised when they said a repair could not be made unless i was more exact with the time of the issue so logs could be reviewed, and i needed to document the occurrence by my taking a picture of the screen
