Description of the problem	2019 subaru outback front windshield suddenly developed a crack for no reason. I was driving on the highway, holding a smooth steady speed, and was actually looking at the location where the crack started. I heard an audible sharp "crack" sound and i saw a 6" vertical crack suddenly appear in the windshield starting from the bottom middle of the windshield. There was no reason for the crack to develop -- no rocks or pebbles hit the windshield, no other cars were nearby, and no external object came into contact with the car. I had just purchased the car a couple of weeks earlier. Over the next few days, the crack spread sideways left and right in the form of a t. Except for the initial crack, which happened while driving, the expansion of the crack has happened when the car has been sitting in my driveway. I was sure i was not at fault for the cracking, so i went online to search and i found plenty of similar complaints from other subaru owners (see https://www. Cargurus.
