Description of the problem | 2013 subaru outback. Consumer writes in regards to poor quality made tie downs in cargo area of vehicle. *smd the consumer stated when he took the vehicle for its 7500 mile service, he showed the service representative the broken tie down. The consumer stated it broke, when he tied his 50lb dog to it. The service representative stated they would not replace it, because it was not designed to handle the tremendous stress of a 50lb dog. After some discussion, the consumer should the representative where he could easily break the tie down with his hand. The consumer was informed the tie downs were only designed to hold a net put over groceries to keep them from sliding, certainly not for anything of substantial weight or stress. |
