| Description of the problem | Under sudden breaking vehicle stalls. Engine stops and has to be restarted. This has happened at stop lights or in intersections if another vehicle in front stops suddenly. Have had this diagnosed as a faulty torque converter. This could be very dangerous if the car needs to get out of the way and is stalled! Subaru has known about this for years yet does not consider it a safety issue. I understand this has to do with their cvt transmission. A recall should be issued. |
