Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2017 subaru legacy. The contact stated that the vehicle was parked in the driveway on a hill and when he started to exit the vehicle it started to roll backwards down the driveway. The contact had to quickly turn the steering wheel in to a backwards u turn to turn the vehicle back into his yard. The contact avoided the vehicle crashing into the neighbor's yard. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and drive it back in to the driveway and put on the parking brakes. He also placed stones behind the two rear wheels to help prevent another backward roll. The dealer and manufacturer had not been contacted. The vin tool did not show any recalls. The contact had the driver's side fender and driver's side door repaired since they were damaged during the incident. The failure mileage was 33,000. |
