| Description of the problem | This happened in may 2020. I purchased the vehicle in october 2019. Car was being driven on busy highway and windshield cracked. Not sure if it was struck by object or not. I could not really see if the damage was caused by an object. Within a week of two, the crack had traveled almost all the way across the entire windshield. Recently i have noticed that the crack is widening. I am in the process of replacing the windshield. This may become a safety issue. I fear that the entire windshield may just collapse. In my opinion, i think these windshields are made of defective material that is unsafe. The crack is now as wide as the size of a toothpick. Please see images. |
