| Description of the problem | Takata recall--just received a notice today in the mail, march 20, 2017, from subaru that my forester has a defective "passenger side frontal airbag containing... Ammonium nitrate." i am advised in this letter of the danger this presents, and that "parts are not available at this time" and might not be available until december." i am advised, "until this repair is performed, do not allow passengers to ride in the front passenger seat." how ridiculous is that???? For a period of possibly nine months, no one can sit in the front passenger seat. Surely, the car companies can do better than this. I've been in touch with my dealership. They (no surprise) will have to get back to me. This is ridiculous and unacceptable, and i'm a fan of subarus. |
