| Description of the problem | I purchased a 2014 porsche cayenne diesel new in august 2014 equipped with the convenience package which includes bi xenon headlights with "porsche dynamic lighting system" (pdls). The pdls is quite complicated and has some good features but it does not illuminate down the road very far and is dangerous on hilly terrain. Something in the system makes the top of the beam shut off sharply so if you approach a hill you can not see beyond the base of the hill. Even reflective surfaces are not illuminated. I do a lot of driving on hilly terrain with a lot of wildlife. This is a dangerous situation. I have written this up on each of 4 visits to the porsche dealer and they say until porsche comes up with a fix, there is nothing they can do. Porsche refuses to do anything about it. |
