Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2007 nissan xterra. While driving at 45 mph, there was a grinding noise coming from the front of the vehicle. In addition, the contact felt a vibration in the steering wheel and the accelerator pedal. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that there was a cross contamination of coolant between the engine and the transmission. The mechanic diagnosed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was confirmed that the transmission needed to be replaced.
