Description of the problem | My check engine light came on back in january 2010. I had the code run at a local auto parts store. Code is p0463, definition: fuel level sensor circuit high input probable cause. 1. Open or short circuit condition 2. Poor electrical connection 3. Faulty fuel level sensor since the light has come on, i'm getting a faulty reading from my fuel gauge. It gives inaccurate readings and i'm now forced to use my odometer to prevent running out of fuel. I read online about a potential recall so i waited to have the repair done. I contacted my dealership and they said to expect a letter in the april and may timeframe. Nissan issued a recall for 2006 and 2008 nissan xterra's. I have a 2007 and i have the same problem as the other years included in the recall. I would like the 2007 to be included in the recall since it has the same issues. |
