| Description of the problem | When my mileage hit 36,446 my service engine light came on in my 2007 nissan xterra. It failed inspection and the gas gauge stopped working. When i called the dealership they said it was the fuel pump and it would cost about $600. 00 to fix. Now there is a recall on certain models and they said mine is not one of them how can this be? By the way i have spoken to at least 2 other xterra owners and they have had the same problem. If this is occurring in more than one individual does it require investigating. It failed inspection because there is something in the fuel pump that is giving a bad emissions reading. |
