Description of the problem	I have a nissan xterra 2007. I decided to stop at a gas station to fill it up on a 1/2 tank of gas. Spent $40-$45 to fill it up. Drove about a 1/2 mile down the road and noticed that the fuel gage didn't change in position. So i pull the vehicle over and shut it down and let it sit for a few minutes before i decided to start it back up. When i did, there was no change in the needle's position and the ses light popped up. Whenever i fill the tank up or put any gas in the vehicle the needle goes from not moving, to empty, to where it should be after driving for a few miles and the ses light remains to be on. I went to a local garage and got read by a scan gauge and it gave me p0463 code which meant there is a fuel level malfunction. I called up a few garages including the dealer and they told me that the repair cost with parts and labor would be $500-$600. I did some researching if there has been any recalls and discovered that this has been a problem with older xterra models that continues to be a problem with the newer ones. This should not be happening with vehicle that i have had for about 4 years with only 40k+ miles on it. *tt
