Description of the problem | I have a 2007 nissan xterra. Recently i filled up my gas tank and the service enginesoon light came on and the fuel gauge did not register full. After some time driving it slowly raised to full and a while after the service engine soon light went out. I just filled up again. The level was just below a 1/4 of a tank and now with a full tank it reads below empty, the service engine soon light is on, the empty fuel tank light is on and the gauge is not raising as it did the previous time. After doing some research on line i realized i am not the only one with this problem and that it is obviously my fuel sending unit. Two weeks prior to this i had a 60000 mile service performed at nissan where they found no problems with my vehicle. |
