Description of the problem	The fuel gauge on my 2007 nissan xterra 39k miles is erratic. After filling the gas tank, it shows empty and goes up very slowly. It takes over an hour to show close to full. Since this problem started, an amber warning, "service engine soon" has been displayed constantly on the instrument panel.
