Description of the problem | While driving, the fuel level indicated it was empty and the check engine light went on. This became an issue weekly from that point on. The problem would go away, and then come back on. There is no way to tell the fuel level in the vehicle during this. Nissan issued a warranty extension for this known problem, but not a recall. This should definitely be a recall situation. They know it is bad, and it is a very expensive fix. Nissan confirmed ton 10/3/2012 at regal nissan in roswell, that the problem is the fuel level sending unit. They need to replace it with updated parts. |
