| Description of the problem | My husband and i own a 2007 nissan xterra for about 4 months. About a month ago when i would sit in the front passenger seat the light indicating the airbag was deactivated would turn on. I am 5' 3" and weight 115 lbs. We took it to a ken garff nissan in salt lake city. They did an airbag systems check on the car and said it was working fine. When i called nissan manufacturing to see what the weight limit was set at for the computer to decide if it was a child or not, they could not give me an answer. The lady said she (or the technical person she contacted) did not know the weight. I find it hard to believe that nissan would say a child weights 115 lbs. I know something has to be wrong in the system especially since the car did not do this when we first got it. |
