| Description of the problem | The fuel gauge on my vehicle is erratic and does not accurately show the amount of fuel in the tank. It will read full when almost empty, empty when full, or anything in-between. There is no way to tell how much fuel is in the tank which i think is a safety concern. Nissan knows about this problem with the xterra fuel sensor but will not issue a recall or fix my vehicle because it doesn't have the right vin according to their customer service people. There are many many other consumers commenting on-line with the same problem. Why has a general recall not been issued??? Nissan should not be able to get away with knowing of faulty equipment and not fixing it. Thank you for your help! |
