| Description of the problem | After filling up gas tank, (i put in 14+ gallons of gas )the fuel gauge remained @ 1/4 tank and the check engine light went on after driving for 24 hours, the gas gauge begins to go to full but the check engine light remains on--this happened on 2 occasions and since the gauge seemed to be working , the mechanic reset the check engine light (it came up with fuel gauge error code), this happened last week and again yesterday i checked the data base for my vin # and there is no recalls, but i see there are other nhtsa recalls for this issue with other nissan xterra's will the dealer replace this free of charge ? (fuel level sending unit ?) |
