Description of the problem	Tl* the contact owns a 2006 nissan xterra. The contact stated that the fuel gauge indicated that the fuel tank was one quarter full when there was no fuel in the fuel tank. The contact also stated that after refueling to capacity, the fuel gauge indicated that the fuel tank was empty after sixteen miles of travel.
