Description of the problem	My nissan xterra has a fault fuel gauge sending unit, the senor went out but i am past the 72k extended warranty. I received a letter in the mail today indicating that if this particular item is being extended to customers of the nissan xterra but up to 72k miles, i currently have 75k on my call. Once i called nissan and asked if this could be extended as a courtesy because i just received the letter today i was not given a clear answer but instead told to go to a dealer have them run the dx and then have the dealer contact nissan? Im confused why can't they just extend it for me since i have already had the diagnostics completed by someone other than nissan. Please help me.
