| Description of the problem | I have a 2005 nissan xterra. After filling up with gas my gas gauge read empty and after a few miles the service engine light came on and stays on. This is a fault with the fuel sending unit that is very common amoung owners of xterras, frontiers and pathfinders. Cost to repair is about $600. 00. This same issue was classed as a recall for the 2002 models however nmo recall has been issued for the same problem in the newer models. This can be very dangerous as the car could just stop running at any time. With the amount of owners having the same complaint and the fact that this was a recall on earlier models, we think that nissan should issue another recall on our vehicles and fix the problem. |
