Description of the problem	1. (the events leading up to the failure)-i went to the gas station to fill up because my 2005 nissan xterra was less than 1/4 tank full. I filled it up all the way and drove off. I looked at the gas gauge and it still read under 1/4 tank. Soon after the ses (service engine soon) light came on. 2. (the failure, how often it occurs, its consequences)- i looked up online what the possible issue could be. In searching over several forums, and over 100 complaints, i found the issue to be error code: p0463 (fuel level sensor). It occurs everyday. The consequences, i never know how much fuel is in my tank. As a matter of fact. I ran out of gas suddenly in the middle of nowhere. I was lucky enough someone helped me get fuel. This is a major issue. 3. (what was done to correct the failure) i have done nothing so far, because it is such a common issue, that it should be recalled. It is roughly a $600 repair issue that should be recalled by nissan. I only have 51,513 miles on my 2005 nissan xterra.
