Description of the problem	I have a 2005 nissan xterra. The vehicle is well-maintained. Recently, after service the check engine light came on, and remained on for several weeks. I noticed that my gas gauge wasn't responding when i filled up the fuel tank. My fuel gauge would read 1/4 tank after filling up, and the "service engine soon" light would come on.
