| Description of the problem | The service engine light came on and the fuel gauge was not working. I would fill up the gas tank and the gauge would say it was empty. The vehicle is only 3 years old with 55000 miles on it when it started to have this issue. I took it to the nissan dealer to have it repaired and it cost 400. 00 to have the fuel sensor replaced. The mechanic acknowledged that he has changed the fuels sensor numerous times and nissan has refused to pay for the repair. This is an obvious defect with the nissan xterra. |
