Description of the problem	2006 nissan titan se king cab 4x4 offroad bigtow. The driver's side leaf spring shackle unraveled at the weld and the leaf spring shot through the bottom of the bed and created a big hole. I contacted nissan hq to the conclusion that they will not cover the repair since i purchased the truck pre-owned w/ 44,xxx miles. This malfunction has been reported numerous times online and on the nhtsa site. It seems that nissan is aware of the weak shackles for model year titans 2004-2007 because they redesigned and strengthened the shackle in 2008 and up models. I had a local mechanic replace the shackles w/ 2008+ titan shackles and plug/weld the hole.
