| Description of the problem | The spring shackles on my 2006 nissan titan are defective. One broke at around 25,000 miles and the second one at around 40,000 miles. The springs shot up into the bed of my truck on both occasions denting the bed and causing me to almost lose control. I had my truck towed to a nissan dealership the first time and had the shackle replaced and i asked if this was a common problem and inquired if i should have the other side replaced they said no it wasn't common the spring shackles on this vehicle are a serious safety risk, if they had broke while i was driving on the highway at a higher speed i would have been in a serious accident. |
