| Description of the problem | Rear axle is leaking oil from it. Its getting the rear brakes wet, with the oil is making it harder to stop. I first noticed this the other day when i went through a red light because i could not stop. My nissan titan is a 2006 xe. 74500 miles. I have only towed a trailer with the truck a hand full of times and never exceeded 5000 lbs of trailer weight which includes the weight of the trailer. There is also a tow package installed in the truck. I am currently looking in to parts and prices of repairing this leak. If this could cause brakes to fail how come this isn't a recall? And if it does become a recall will they also cover any paint damage that may occur from the oils on the tail gate? |
