| Description of the problem | I have owned a 2006 nissan titan since march 17, 2006 and have had a severe rear axle leak two times in less than 32,000 miles. The first leak was due to a faulty left side axle seal and was replaced under warranty. The latest leak, which was communicating differential oil over the entire underbelly of the truck including the exhaust system and rear brake rotors was determined to be a faulty pinion seal which was repaired under warranty. I am afraid that this will be a recurring issue that may have potential for fire or unsafe vehicle operation due to oil reaching the brake rotors and the exhaust system. |
