Description of the problem	Had been hearing a 'clank' when putting vehicle into gear, similar to when a u-joint is failing. While towing my boat trailer (boat was in the water), had the vehicle in 4wd, and turned hard left to exit the parking spot. Heard a loud snap in the rear end, then heard another one. Used truck to pull the boat out, but then disconnected the trailer and had my friend tow the boat home. Took truck to dealership next morning, and they replaced the entire rear axle assembly under warranty (thank god!).
