Description of the problem | I have a 2005 nissan titan pickup. While approaching a red light at 30 mph i stepped on my brake to slow the vehicle. I heard a loud clunk, my brakes became mushy, there was a clicking sound, and my brake warning light came on. By pressing down hard on the brake pedal i was able to slow to a stop. I eventually made my way into a parking lot. I stopped the vehicle, checked the brake fluid and it was fine. When i restarted the vehicle the red light was off and the vehicle operated normally. It is now at the dealership where it is undergoing diagnostics. Brakes are the most important safety feature in a vehicle. They cannot spontaneously fail. This has been a growing problem on nissan titans and armadas and should be investigated. Thank you. |
