| Description of the problem | I have a 2005 nissan titan with only 44000 miles on it. During recent driving it sounded as if the right rear was grinding to pieces. It continually got worse so i looked under the truck to see if there was something that was caught and dragging. It was so loud that people would stare at the truck when it passed by. After it was taken to the garage they discovered that the insides of the right rear axle were almost completely torn apart. It was very fortunate that it did not cause a serious problem while driving. They also found that the left axle was leaking and would likely also break down. The cost to repair the truck was over $1700. 00. |
