| Description of the problem | I own a 2005 nissan titan. The rear differential began to make strange noises so i took it to the nissan dealership. The service tech told me it would have to be replaced at a cost of $2500. The truck had 61,500 miles on it. The dealership said the warranty was only 60,000 miles and refused to replace the part at no cost. I have called nissan customer service and they refused also. The vehicle i purchased had a towing package installed. In my opinion, the lightweight rear axle and differential that nissan installed on these vehicles is inadequate and therefore defective. Nissan should replace these parts at no cost to the consumer. |
