Description of the problem | My 2005 nissan titan had a rear differential failure at approx. 73,000 miles. There was a loud banging/ratcheting sound and then the failure. Nissan (or no one else, for that matter) will not sell replacement parts for this problem. You can only purchase the "entire unit", at a cost of $3500. 00, which is totally ridiculous, since it is only a part of the entire unit that has failed. I'm afraid that if i had been at highway speed, that myself and/or others could have been seriously injured or even killed. |
