Description of the problem | Front drive shaft on my 2005 nissan titan se king cab "binded" up according to nissan dealership, thus creating vibration in the front of the truck and thereby destroying the oil seal and corresponding bearings in the four wheel drive transfer case. All told, my truck sits in a repair shop needing new front hubs (r and l), a new front drive shaft, and a new transfer case. The cost of the repair is substantial, around four thousand dollars. I am not sure if my third party extended warranty will cover the damages or not. I am awaiting word from the warranty company to discover what indeed they will cover before i have the truck repaired. |
