Description of the problem | There are no events leading up to the failure. The rear differential went out on my 2005 nissan titan, in order to repair the part, i had to buy an "entire" new rear differential (because this of course happened out of warranty). I was told the part that needed to be repaired is actually a very small part of the differential, but i had to pay $4000 to get the entire thing replaced. I would like to state that i am very very glad that this did not happen while i was driving on the freeway. I was only doing about 15 mph when it went, and it felt like i got hit by a mack truck!!!!! I have been searching the internet to see how often this is happening and it seems to be happening alot! Someone should check into this before someone gets seriously injured or killed! |
