| Description of the problem | Nissan failed to replace a transmission under the 60k powertrain warranty. The truck is currently at 56k miles, and has been out of use since november 11th. The vehicle falls under the north carolina lemon law: as with other lemon laws, it is required that automobile manufacturers repurchase or replace a vehicle that has not been properly repaired within a "reasonable number of attempts". In north carolina, this reasonable number is four attempts or if the car has been out of service waiting repair for a cumulative total of 20 or more business days during any 12-month period of the warranty. It has been out since november 11th, and they still want me to pay for the cost of the transmission when they should cover it no questions asked. |
