Description of the problem	At highway speed, vehicle shut off and would not restart stranding wife and kids on highway. The fuel gauge showed 1/4 tank of gas, but it was later found that the tank was empty. Same condition as documented in nhtsa campaign 10v074000, but nissan corp. Stated that vehicle is not covered under previous recall because vin range/manufacture date is prior to specifications of recall. Nissan has stated that there is nothing they can do and has offered no assistance in this matter. *safety issue - a major collision could have occurred at highway speed due to vehicle's inexplicable shut down.
