| Description of the problem | Rear shackle in 2004-2008 nissan titan is weak design, prone to failure. I have proof of several documented cases in which the rear shackle unfolds and the leaf spring slams through the bed of the truck, which can result in sudden loss of control. It has happened during normal driving conditions, as well as when towing, off-roading, etc. To correct the problem, before it happens, all that needs to happen is to replace the shackles before they fail and become a safety concern. If the shackle fails, it must be replaced, and the entire suspension system needs to be inspected for safety, and the bed must be replaced. |
