Description of the problem	Brake warning light on dash illuminated. When brake pressure applied, pedal went to the floor, brakes made a loud grinding sound and braking efficiency was greatly diminished. Had to drive onto right shoulder of roadway to avoid rear ending the vehicle in front of me. This problem happens about 3 times per year on this 61,000 mile vehicle. Took to nissan under warranty and was told they couldn't reproduce problem and received no further assistance. This got me out of warranty. When problem occurred outside of the warranty again, dealer and nissan consumer affairs stated the vehicle was out of warranty, and would not take care of same.
