| Description of the problem | When driving down a residential road, the brake light illuminated for no apparent reason. Then, when slowing to turn, brakes shuddered violently and did not feel as if they would succeed in stopping the vehicle. I slowed enough to turn, then proceeded slowly to make 2 more immediate turns before reaching my house. The brakes shuddered and were not 100% effective each time the pedal was pressed. Fluid levels are normal, brake components look good. After turning truck off and back on, problem was not able to be replicated. However, after doing online research, this appears to be a known issue that the manufacturer has as yet refused to address, even though it could lead to collisions and fatalities. |
