| Description of the problem | Upon start up parking brake light on dash illuminated and remained on, however the parking brake was not set. Once the vehicle was in motion the brakes became ineffective. The pedal was soft and there was a pulsing sensation. If i had not been going less than 5mph i am unsure if i could have stopped, i was able to coast to a stop and place the vehicle in park. Once the vehicle was turned off and restarted all lights and problems disappeared and brakes functioned ok. I took the vehicle to the local dealer and they located a problem with the brake booster and/or master cylinder. |
