Description of the problem	I was driving like normal came to a four way stop light at a busy highway intersection, stopped and preceded to go when it was my turn. My rear differential grenaded and i was stuck in the middle of the intersection. Luckily i new i had to get out of the intersection as soon as possible and i put my truck into four wheel drive and let my front tires pull me through the intersection. I then pulled over to a safe spot and looked at the damage. Gear oil all over my truck and on the highway. I was fortunate to react quickly. But this really could have been bad. I took my truck to my dealer and it cost me $3500 for a new rear end. They (nissan dealership) replaced the whole axle assembly. They told me nissan would only let them replace the whole thing and not just the gears. Fishy if you ask me. A normal rear differential fix should cost less than $1000. Sounds like nissan knew this was a problem!!!!
