| Product type code | VEHICLE |
| Description of the problem | I was driving between 65 & 70 mph and the engine went into fail safe mode and basically ran at idle speed (10 miles per hour). I parked the truck, turned off engine, restarted, it remained in idle speed only, turned off engine and left off for about 15 minutes - it started and ran normal. Dealer replaced ecm. This occurred in may 2007 and then my son was driving today april 2, 2008 at about 45 mph and engine just cut off completely (now at the dealer). This is high risk - imagine turning across a lane of traffic and the engine quitting or pulling onto the expressway and trying to get up to speed and engine quitting. |
