| Description of the problem | 2004 nissan titan the rear wiring harness is routed over the frame rail directly next to the tailpipe causing it to melt in the event of an exhaust leak. This happened to me and now i'm stuck splicing wires together as the local dealer in saint john nb want over $1000. 00 to replace, this problem seem to be a common one among other owners i have talked to and poses a serious fire hazard / potential accident due to complete sudden loss of all power. Nissan canada should be made aware of this (i'm sure they already are) to avoid any legal problems that may arise due to them not recommending an inspection / notice or recall of the rear wiring harness. |
