| Description of the problem | About 2 months after fixing a recall on the aeb system on my 2018 nissan rogue, my car's aeb system engaged while driving 75 mph on the interstate causing my vehicle's antilock brakes to kick on and beep a warning to slow down because my car's sensor believed something was in front of me. There was nothing in front of me for miles and fortunately, no one was behind me to slam in to me. My local dealership stated that the problem was a faulty icc sensor, which works complementary with the vehicle's aeb system. Fortunately, it will only cost me the $100 deductible on my extended warranty because at 52k miles, i'm over warranty, but nissan needs to correct this problem to be a safety issue and fix regardless of the mileage on each vehicle. |
