| Description of the problem | Automatic front braking (afb) system continues to inappropriately engage even after recall updates were completed at a nissan dealership. When driving the car will, without justification (ie there are no obsticals in front of car) automatically apply the breaks. After the update it happened to me while driving in the rain, my toddler was in the car, luckily i did not lose control of the car. This is a known issue and nissan has failed to correct it. Nissan said afb cannot be permanently disabled and said it is now driver's responsibility to manually turn it off each time the car is started. |
