| Description of the problem | Tl* the contact owns a 2017 nissan rogue. While driving approximately 20 mph up a steep incline, the vehicle suddenly stopped accelerating and began to roll backwards down the hill. The brake pedal was depressed to the floorboard, but the vehicle would not stop and continued to roll down the hill. The driver shifted from drive to reverse and was able to stop the vehicle. When the engine was turned off and restarted, the vehicle operated normally. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer (robert woodall nissan, 132 union st. Bridge rd., danville, va), but the failure could not be duplicated. The dealer found no failures with the vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The failure mileage was 13,700. |
