Product type code | VEHICLE |
Description of the problem | 1. My forward collision warning goes in and out of service several times per month. 2. The cvt quit working at 78,000 miles. I was driving on i-70 between denver, co and the eisenhower tunnel when suddenly the rpms kicked up and the speed dropped. I don't know what gear i was in but i could only drive 40 mph at 3500 -4500 rpms. There was a burning smell as well. The transmission seemed to reset when vehicle was turned off and then restarted and seemed to function properly. However, when taken for a test drive, the burning smell occurred again when climbing a hill and seemed to dissipate when traveling down hill and transmission is not functioning properly. |
