 Description of the problemTl* the contact called on behalf of his parents who owned a 2016 nissan rogue. While driving approximately 30 mph, the contact's father suffered a diabetic seizure. As a result, he crossed over the median and crashed into a tree. The contact stated that neither of his parents were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash. Both parents were transported to the hospital via ambulance and were pronounced deceased 36 hours later. Police report number: 2019-3451 was filed. The vehicle was destroyed and towed to the police department. The contact was unaware if the vehicle was diagnosed or if the event data recorder was inspected. The contact was concerned if the vehicle had an audible chime to remind the occupants when their seat belts were not secured. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified.
