Description of the problem	While entering a left turn lane (unsure of speed as was slowing for the red light), vehicle bumped a curb on the driver's side. Did not go over it, brushed against it. No body damage except some scraping on the rims of the wheels. The tires remained inflated. However, the sensor detected it as a side impact, and driver's side airbags (not the steering wheel, just the side) deployed, injuring and disorienting the driver. Vehicle was under control, and driver was in no danger until airbags deployed. Was taken to dealership where they asserted that the sensor acted properly as there may have been a roll over (then shouldn't all of the airbags deployed?). The sensor is way too sensitive and dangerous as i was severely disoriented (and may have briefly lost consciousness) from the airbags and am lucky that i or someone else was not more seriously injured. Following the incident, the insurance agent, the tow truck driver, etc. Were shocked that the airbags had deployed in this situation. Brushing curbs is well within the normal parameters of driving and should not have caused the airbags to go off.
